Changing up your shampoo? Why should you wash twice?

How many of you have been told your hair gets “use to” or “becomes immune to” shampoo?

I bet it feels true! What if I told your hair getting “use to” a shampoo is unfounded? If your shampoo STOPS giving you results you want 💥it means the condition and needs of your hair have most likely changed.

✨Why you should really change your shampoo?

For instance, you colored, straightened, cut, relaxed, grew your hair longer or the seasons have changed. All of these will change what your hair needs NOT because your hair became “immune to” a shampoo.

✨How to get the benefits of two different shampoos?

We all know there are different shampoos for different needs. Curly hair, straight hair, fine hair, thick coarse hair, dry hair, oily hair✨ all these need to be treated with the proper shampoo. Here are different ways to get the benefits of two different shampoos.

✨Some hair can even be oily at the roots and dry on the ends! In this case you could shampoo with two different shampoos at the same time by applying one at the scalp and one to the ends.

✨Another great way to receive the benefits of two different shampoos is to rotate them 💥one day with one, 2 days later with another.

✨Why wash twice?

I have always read the directions on the shampoo bottle that would say wash, rinse, repeat and thought why? I figured it was a way for companies to get you to use more product, so you would have to purchase more quickly. Well…. After years of believing this I have learned why you should wash, rinse and repeat. Your first wash will remove any dirt/debris. This can come from environmental pollution, dry shampoo and styling products. Your second wash will provide your strands with nourishing properties of the shampoo. Following the wash, rinse and repeat will help your strands to be provided with the proper moisture, hydration and nutrients. Remember having a lather is always important.

⭐️ I personally use two different shampoos and wash twice. Always making sure there is a lather. Since everyone’s hair has different needs it is best to use the shampoo that works best for what your strands need.
