Why Collagen?
Adding the proper amount of collagen to your daily routine will help by providing essential proteins that will promote healthier hair, stronger nails and cuticles, restore skin elasticity, help arthritis and help with muscle recovery. Collagen is largely found in your connective tissues, bones and skin making it key for overall body wellness.
✨Healthier Hair…
Proteins derived from collagen will strengthen the hair follicles and help prevent follicle damage. When your hair is in the catagen stage (transitional stage) it will lose protective layers. By taking collagen it will help keep your strands stronger.
✨Let's talk nails…
Collagen can help strengthen brittle nails by providing necessary collagen to encourage longer, stronger, healthier nails and cuticles.
✨As for skin…
Collagen is essential for restoring skin elasticity and hydration which can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles and dryness. Amino acids in collagen can improve uneven complexion by minimizing the appearance of dark spots and scars from acne and other skin issues.
✨Now to touch on Arthritis and muscle recovery
Collagen helps reduce pains caused by arthritis. It will also help with muscle recovery and repair after workouts. Making collagen a great post-workout supplement.
When you start taking collagen there are a few things to consider. For me I decided to go with Beef Hydrolysate protein powder. Simply this means that the proteins are broken down into smaller parts which makes it easier to dissolve. Another option is a plant-based collagen product that doesn’t actually contain any collagen itself, but contains various nutrients needed for collagen production. The goal of these supplements is to support your body’s own natural collagen production by providing the ingredients necessary to build protein. Since plant-based collagen supplements don’t actually contain collagen, they won’t have the same effectiveness as a true collagen supplement. However, it will still provide animal-free eaters with what they need to support their collagen production. Adding either option to your morning coffee/tea, smoothie, oatmeal and evening tea/water will make it easy to take daily. Collagen will take about 6-8 weeks when taking the proper amount daily to notice full benefits.
💫 As a stylist and fitness enthusiast, I have added collagen into my daily routine for over a year. It has helped reduce the feeling of inflammation in my hands and helps with muscle recovery from daily workouts. I don’t know about you but QUALITY MATTERS, which is why I use STEP ABOVE PROTEINS.
